Kisii Horror: Man Burns Wife’s Body, Cooks Her Flesh, Feeds It to Children — Villagers Burn Him Alive

A horrifying incident has shocked the nation after a 50-year-old man in Kisii County confessed to brutally killing his wife, cooking parts of her body, and feeding the flesh to their children.

The suspect, identified as Stephen Oserio, was lynched and burned to death by angry villagers in the Sungubo area of Nyamache sub-county, shortly after his gruesome crime came to light.

According to Nyamache OCPD Kipkulei Kipkemoi, Oserio admitted to murdering his wife in cold blood, dismembering her body, and cooking her. He then reportedly served the cooked flesh to his unsuspecting children before neighbours raised alarm over suspicious activity and a disturbing smell coming from the homestead.

Shocking details have also emerged about Oserio’s past: the man had previously been arrested for killing his first wife but was released just two years ago under unclear circumstances. His return to the community was largely unnoticed until this most recent, chilling crime.

The residents of the area who spoke to journalists described the incident as horrid as it was.

Despite efforts by local police to restore calm and secure the area, enraged locals descended on the suspect, cornered him, and set him ablaze, killing him on the spot.

The couple’s children, now victims of unimaginable trauma, have been taken into protective custody by children’s services and are receiving urgent psychological support.

This abhorrent act, and the possibility of Oserio having killed his first wife, has renewed national outrage over rising cases of domestic violence, mental health concerns, and femicide. The time for action is now.
